One of a Kind Requiring 1 year to Complete
To many
of our clients, the chess collection is a “Family Affair”.
When a new set arrives, everyone plays a game. Even the youngest
child gets to stroke a piece with help from parents or grandparents.
The teenagers keep the journal recording the date, where it
was purchased, and any information they might have on previous
ownership. One teenager gets to take pictures of it all and
the collection grows with love, laughter and enjoyment.
One client’s
little girl, (4½ yr. old for that’s when they
begin to learn chess) asked for an Alice in Wonderland chess
set…made by using Madame Alexander dolls! Doll dealers
from all across the US and the UK helped. It was delightful!
Stymied
over the 2 Bishops, a dealer in London suggested Tweedle Dee
and Tweedle Dum...they came with arms entwined…separated…voila!
2 Bishops! One even called with a silk embroidered chessboard!
Yes, the visor on the Knight actually moves!
